Livingston 2025 Sanitary Sewer I&I Project

INVITATION TO BID
Separate sealed bids for construction of the Livingston 2025 Sanitary Sewer I&I will be received
by City of Livingston at City Hall, 220 East Park Street, Livingston, Montana until 10:00 a.m.
local time on April 17, 2025, and then publicly opened and read aloud.

The City of Livingston Sanitary Sewer I&I:
Base Bid 120 consecutive calendar days
Alternate 75 consecutive calendar days

The Project, of which the Work under the Contract Documents is a part, is generally described
as follows: contract includes the rehabilitation of sewer mains (existing), reinstatement of sewer
services impacted, bedding material, backfill, dewatering (if necessary), compaction, sewer
testing, and all other work related to construction of a complete and operable sewer system. All
work shall be done in strict accordance with the requirements of the contract documents.

The contract documents consisting of Drawings and Project Manual may be examined or
obtained at the office of TD&H Engineering 234 East Babcock Street, Suite 3, Bozeman
Montana in accordance with Article 2.01 of Instructions To Bidders. Required deposit is
$ 200.00 per set, which is not refundable. Contractors are not required to obtain Drawings and
Project Manual from Engineer.

There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference at the office of Public Works, 330 Bennett
Street, Livingston, Montana at 10:00 a.m. on April 8, 2025. Interested CONTRACTORS are
required to attend in-person or engineer can provide virtual meeting information upon
request.

CONTRACTORS and any of the CONTRACTORS’ subcontractors bidding or doing work on this
project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry
(DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box
8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be
obtained by calling 1-406-444-7734. CONTRACTOR is not required to have registered with the
DLI prior to bidding on this project but must have registered prior to execution of the
Construction Agreement. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for
employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national
origin.

Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check, or Bid Bond
payable to City of Livingston, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount
of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and
Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract
amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a
certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided.

The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone
the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest
responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the OWNER.
