Street Maintenance Division

Our Services

The Street Maintenance Division maintains and repairs Livingston's streets and alleys. It has seven full-time employees and maintains over seventy-six miles of streets and alleys. The division is responsible for street signs, storm drains, pothole patching, chip sealing, street light maintenance, and other services.

  • When is my street getting swept? Our regular street sweeping schedule begins in early May and runs through mid-August. Throughout the rest of the year, we will sweep the city streets as needed. 2025 Street Sweeping Map coming soon!

  • When will the City fix the Railroad Crossing?
    • BNSF is soley responsible for maintaining all railroad crossings within the railroad right-of-way. This includes the crossing conditions track, wires, signal maintenance, and vegetation control. For information on how to report railroad crossing conditions, visit their webpage at https://www.bnsf.com/about-bnsf/faqs.page
