2022 City of Livingston Animal License Renewal Reminder

The City wants to remind residents all City animal licenses expire annually on December 31st and must be renewed BEFORE March 1, 2022, to avoid a $10 late fee per license. The process is simple and only takes a few minutes to complete. Having current information is a valuable tool in reuniting lost pets with their owners. 
 

HOw much does it cost?

$15 per year for spayed/neutered dogs
$5 per year for cats
$75 per year for unaltered animals

What's required to renew/obtain?
  1. Completed Animal License Application
  2. Proof of current/updated rabies vaccination record from Vet.
  3. Drivers license 
  4. Current phone number
How do I renew?

The City offers a couple of options for renewing:

  1. In-person option. Bring your rabies vaccination record, driver's license along with your payment to the City Finance Office located at 220 E. Park St.
  2. Mail-in option (renewals only). Send your completed application, current rabies vaccination information, copy of driver's license and payment to the City Finance Office 220 E. Park St. in Livingston. Incomplete applications will be returned.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON'T LICENSE MY PET?

Should you fail to license your animal before the March 1st deadline,  and your animal is picked up by Animal Control, citations may be issued and fines of $150 per license imposed.
