Water Reclamation Facility Operator
Public Works Department
Number of Vacancies:  1
The City of Livingston, Montana is seeking a highly motivated individual to perform role of WRF Operator within the Public Works Department. This WRF Operator role in Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) is a fulltime position in the WRF Department.  Water Reclamation Plant Operators perform a variety of duties involved in the operations, process, control, routine maintenance, and sludge dewatering at the wastewater treatment plant facility. Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators must possess or acquire a Class II Wastewater Plant Operator Certificate issued by the State of Montana. This position is a vital position working in consultation with the Foreman and other WRF Operators.
Qualifications:

1. Experience in operations, process control, and routine maintenance experience at a wastewater treatment facility. Two years of experience or a combination of experience and education.
2. Must possess a high school diploma or GED
3. Possession of – or ability to obtain, within 6 months of appointment – a valid Boiler License issued by the State of Montana
4. Possession of – or ability to obtain, within 6 months of appointment – a Class II Wastewater Plant Operator Certificate issued by the State of Montana.
5. CPR Certification, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Basic First Aid are preferred. 
6. Must possess a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record at the time of hire and have the ability to obtain a valid MT drivers license within six months of hire.
7. Dependent upon qualifications may be underfilled as a WRF Operator in Training

 Annual Salary:      WRF Operator      $42,077.39             
                                WRF Operator in Training     $38,830.09

911 Communications Officer
911 Communications Department

Full Time entry level position to join our busy 911 Communications Center and handle incoming calls for public safety services including: Livingston Police Department, Livingston Fire Rescue (includes ambulance), Park County Sheriff's Office, Park County Rural Fire, Paradise Valley Rural Fire, Clyde Park Rural Fire and Wilsal Rural Fire.  Role requires extremely high level of ability to multitask, computer proficiency, ability to remain calm in high pressure and emotional situations, excellent keyboarding skills, ability to prioritize multiple and challenging tasks and the ability to remain positive and promote an environment of teamwork.  Prior 911 experience a plus but enthusiasm and dedication to Public Safety with willingness to train is essential.  Position may work any shift which includes nights, evenings, weekends and holidays.  Position reports to Communications Coordinator. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with MPEA. Full time benefits package including health insurance, vacation and sick time as well as other City of Livingston benefits including participation in the retirement program.

Starting salary is $31,011 annually with additional compensation as certifications are earned.



Recreation Coordinator
Recreation Department
Number of Vacancies:  2
Part time benefit-eligible position working 20-27 hours per week developing and implementing community Recreation programming for all ages.  Role also provides coverage for some Civic Center facility rentals, PIR and Summer Camps, Art in the Park and other year round programs.  1 Position will focus on Youth activities with sport related mindset and 1 position will focus on rental program development.  Both positions will provide coverage and programming across the entire Recreation Department.  Scheduling flexibility is essential as these roles may have shifts that include days, evenings, weekends and on rare occasion holidays.  A well-qualified applicant will have experience in recreation program development, organization and implementation, youth sports and team minded focus.  Ability to multitask, change priorities and work well as part of a dedicated team is essential.  Exceptional customer service and problem solving skills, computer skills, as well as being highly organized and having excellent time management skills and creativity preferred. Position reports to Recreation Manager directly.  Benefits are provided on a pro-rated basis and include health insurance, vacation and sick time as well as other City of Livingston benefits including participation in the Retirement program.

Starting hourly wage is between $10.00 and $12.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
