POSITION: Probationary Firefighter/Paramedic

DEPARTMENT: Fire Department

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Fire Chief

The City of Livingston is currently seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, positive monded Paramedic/Firefighter to join or elite Livingston Fire and Rescue team.

Are you qualified?

In order to be competitive for this exciting opportunity you should have the following minimum qualifications in addition to having a valid clean driver’s license:

  1. State of Montana Paramedic (National Registry with ability to be Montana licensed considered for out of state applicants.)
  2. High School Graduate (Some College or AS Degree preferred)
  3. Firefighter 1 (Firefighter 2 preferred)
  4. Red Card Certification (preferred)
Compensation/Benefits:

Starting wage is $42,681 (includes cert pay for FF1 and Medic) plus additional cert pay determined by Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Stipend towards health insurance premiums. State retirement system and union membership in IAFF Local 630 (dues apply).  Vacation, Sick and Holiday time.

Certification Classes will be offered May 22 – 26 (5:30-9pm) and All Day May 28/29 in Livingston. You MUST be available to attend training to be considered for a position.

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Recreation Manager

The primary function of this position is to supervise organized recreation activities at an assigned playground, park, or Civic Center following general instructions from a supervisor. As well as perform all aspects of preparation and clean-up of Civic Center for daily play on gym floor and other facilities as assigned; provide the public with information and assistance pertaining to facility use; enforce facility rules; promote safety by monitoring activity at assigned facility.

WAGE: $9.00 - $11.00 depending on experience

DEPARTMENT: Public Works Department (Roaming Crew, Street Department, and Transfer Station)

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Applicable Public Works Foreman

Under general direction, assists the Roaming Crew, Street Department and Transfer Station in the repair and maintenance of park and cemetery areas, waterways, trees, Civic Center, swimming pools, streets, alleys, transfer station and other City maintained areas. Summer Temporary employees may have work assignments in any of the Public Works Divisions including Roaming, Streets, Solid Waste, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Sewer and Water.
