Recruitment Notice, Livingston Business Improvement Board (LBID)

The City is seeking candidates to fill one upcoming vacancy on the Livingston Business Improvement Board (LBID). The vacancy is to be filled by a property owner or person appointed to represent property owners, who own parcels within the boundaries of the LBID.

The general boundaries of the LBID include commercially zoned properties within the historic downtown district with boundaries that begin at Yellowstone Street and run south from West Park to Callender Street; begin at 3rd Street and run south from West Park to Clark Street; begin at 2nd Street and Main Street and run south from Park Street to River Drive; and, begin at B Street (to the west of the alleyway between B and C Streets) and run south from East Park to Geyser Street. Current members are also encouraged to apply. The appointment for the LBID Board is for a four (4) year term. The LBID meets once a month, usually on the third Thursday of the month at 8:30 a.m., though this is subject to change.

In addition to owning property or representing a property owner within the previously defined LBID boundaries, in order to qualify for the LBID Board, applicants must also possess the following qualifications: a U.S. citizen who is at least 18 years of age, a qualified elector, a resident of the County and State for at least 30 days and a city of Livingston resident who is a non-felon and of sound mind.

The deadline for submitting applications is April 10th, 2020 and the appointment is anticipated to occur on May 19th, 2020 at 5:30 p.m. at the regular meeting of the City Commission in the Community Room of the City-County Complex, 414 East Callender Street, Livingston, MT.
